Since your iPhone is a 5S and therefore is running iOS 7, it cannot possibly have been erased without knowing your Apple ID and password. That is because of Activation Lock, described here:

and i think the person who took my phone knows the password and i have the fingerprint scan and that person has his fingerprint and knows the password to the apple id i think I THINK because i was letting him use the phone cause he needed and app and his phone didnt have it so im trying to find out if i could change the password via my computer too so i could keep it secure

I know that you can lock and erase your iphone remotely with find-my-phone, but how do you find the last location that it was active. if it has been turned off? the cell tower (Roaming in this case) must have a record of it. Or the NSA.
I also have the same problem. My iPhone 4S was being pick pocketed in a hotel while I was working and walking around a public place. Till now I am trying to use iPhone to track the phone and still "offline". Should I deactivate it?
My telco company do not want to do it for me. How to do it on my own?
