Serious problem with Keyboard/pad

I bought a new mac pro two weeks ago and its keyboard/pad are locked up at least 3-4 times a day. The keyboard/pad stop working and I should restart the laptop to have them again.Is there any solution? Is it software or hardware issue? I am thinking to return it, if it is a hardware issue.
