Missed step 3

Hi,

I missed step 3.

After a while I found how to remove the device from "Find my iPhone" but there was a message saying it would come back if turned on again.

Is it enough that I removed it from the icloud.com/#find or is there anything else I should/can do?

I've reformated the entire drive and don't want to do all settings etc, just to go in and remove it from icloud and then having to start the process all over again if it isn't necessary.
