User account goes to old settings upon logout

I have two user account, both are admin accounts, one for work and one for home. On my work account, whenever I logout and login back, computer starts with about a month old settings (e.g. Safari usage history shown in browser is old etc). However my home account works fine. Once I had previously encountered this problem. That time, I created a new user account and trasfered all the data. It worked fine for few days and then this problem happened. This time I am reluctent to do that and want to find out a permanent solution.
