How to turn off the Volume in the Facetime

I am facing an issue where I want to trun off the volume using Facetime in the office, because my daughter (7 mths old) was crying and my wife just wanted her to see my face through Facetime.

However the Facetime lowest volume still projected the crying voice loudly. How can I turn off the volume totally?
