Learn about What can I buy from the iTunes Store in my country?

Q: Why are some countries like Jamaica restricted from purchasing music?!!! A purchase is a purchase. Everyone has to buy the product to get it. Does it matter who buys? Gross disrespect to the countries who are restricted. Disappointed in APPLE.

Gross disrespect to these countries whose citizens are obviously good enough to purchase an APPLE product but not good enough to enjoy the benefits that are offered by the product. So disappointed in APPLE for that distaste towards some countries. Isn't a purchase a purchase on iTunes? Should it matter where the person is from who pays the same amount of money in the same currency indicated for the purchase? I don't even want to think along certain social stereotypical lines, I wouldn't want to believe that about the people from APPLE but when you look at the list of countries that are restricted from purchasing...it's a very sad affair. So disappointed in APPLE for I am an avid supporter of APPLE.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums. You are not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.

Apple can only sell content where the content providers grant them licenses to sell it - if the record companies haven't granted Apple licenses to sell their album/singles in a particular country then they can't sell it there.

And you can't use another country's store. All content is licensed by the providers on a country-by-country basis, so each country has to have its own store and you need to be in a country (and have a billing address in that country on your account) to buy from it.
