I have been trying to cleanup my disk because I am running out of storage, so I deleted all the movies I had downloaded to my computer. When I open up Storage under about this Mac it still shows a giant mass of movies. You can't see them in finder and I have emptied my trash folder. Any ideas?

Rebuild the Spotlight index. If you try to search now from the magnifying-glass icon in the top right corner of the display, there will be an indication that indexing is in progress.
