When you want to use storage for media and applications you can 32Gb model but I have an 16GB model of iPad and have more space for my applications (18 applications).

You can get by on a 16. That's what I have. But you can't data hoard. So if you like music and movies, go for a 32. If I were buying again I'd seriously consider the extra money for a 32.

Most suggest buying the most space you can afford because you cannot increase space. Please note that either way, you actually do not get a full 16gb or 32 gb. Some space is used for the ios and apps that cannot be deleted from the ipad.

If having the Air isn't the most important thing about buying a new ipad and if price is a consideration to you, try looking at the Apple certified refurbished store (online only.) A new ipad Air 32gb is $599.00. An Apple refurbed ipad 4 32gb is $$449.00, so you can save money.

Each Apple refurbished ipad (any version) comes with a new front and back cover, a brand new battery and a full one year warranty with 90 days of phone support. Each comes in a white box like a new ipad with the wall charger and usb cable. Also, if you buy a refurb, be sure to check the online store many times a day. They can come and go quickly, so when you see what you want, buy it right away. Shipping is free and pretty fast. (We bought two a year and a half ago and they have been great!)

If the Air is why you want a new ipad, then I still suggest you go for the most space you can afford, even if you have to hold off for a while until you can afford it.

Also, if you're holding on to an old iphone or ipad, you can sell it/them for cash. Try gazelle.com, cashforyourmac.com, or sellyourmac.com. Right now cashforyourmac.com is matching whatever gazelle or 'sell your mac' is giving you and they'll add in a $25.00 holiday bonus. Shipping in the USA is free.

Then you would get enough cash to offset the cost of a 32gb Air because it'll cost almost the same as a 16gb Air. You can also google this subject to get other recommendations about selling used Apple devices.

    Hope this helps.

Has anyone used cashforyourmac.com?  I'm wanting to sell my iMac but don't know anyone who has used the website and I wanted to get more information.
