Q: how do i share a calendar?

i want to share my calendar on my ipad 2 with my wife's new ipad air calendar. I sent an invite to her from my calendar but she did not receive any email to link the calendars. Any suggestions?

Did she check to see if she received then invitation in the Calendar app?
