i have been working on a mac powerbook g4 i think it has an intel core duo 2.0Ghz and a gig of ram running at 667MHz i was cleaning it and now it is stuck in an endless bootcycle what do i do

i deleted the contents the user had in the trash minus a few files that refused to unlock now it wont boot after being shut down it just cycles itself

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
