Dec 19, 2013 8:11 AM in response to braden85by OB1JEEPER,I went to the links provided, and read the information on the Apple AirPort Extreme, and the AirPort Express.
Being a complete newbie to this computer/techie stuff, it appeared to me that both will act as a boradband WiFi router, which also provides USB ports from which to wirelessly connect my printer & scanner...?
If so, perhaps these could replace the router my service provided required I purchase and use as opposed to being cable connected (inside the office) to the radio/reciever/antennae on the roof?
Or did I mis-understand how these components function?
Thanx again, Steve

Dec 19, 2013 8:20 AM in response to OB1JEEPERby BobTheFisherman,You can use any wifi router. If your printer and scanner are wifi then you do not need any usb ports. You connect the printer/scanner to your router using wifi. You then connect your computer to the router using wifi. You then set up the networked printer/scanner in your computer's preferences/settings.
Follow the user manual for your printer/scanner regarding how to set up their repective wifi connections. This is typically done at the printer/scanner menu window.
One more thing. You can only have one router in your network. Connecting additional routers will mess up your network unless you configure each additional router to not perform as a router doing NAT and DHCP.
