Automatic Snooze Feature

Is there any way to turn off the automatic snooze feature? When the alarm goes off for x amount of time, it automatically snoozes for the unavoidable 10 minute snooze time before going off again. I would like the alarm to go off until I actually wake up and turn it off.

This is indeed possible and I'm wondering why no one mentioned this (even not Apple):

There are two ways to turn off/snooze an alarm:

1. Temporaly (snooze mode): press some of the buttons on the side or "grab" the phone at this buttons

2. Switch off (no snooze): Press the home button (or unlock? not sure).

This is very nice, because the "easier"option is the more safe one. You have to be more awaken to finde the home button and press it.

Not shure how the iPhone X will handle this without the home button.

I called apple support. Turns out, yes, you can turn off the snooze. However, my question was if you could turn off the AUTOMATIC snooze feature - the one that automatically snoozes your phone after it goes off for a while. As it turns out, there is no way to turn off this feature. That being said, if you were to turn off snooze, as ChrisJ4203 suggested, then your alarm will go off for x amount of time and then turn off on its own whether or not you are awake. Seem practical right! No.
