How do I get my SIM card back after sending it away to get fixed?

My mom sent out my iPhone 5 for me almost two weeks ago to get repaired for a broken screen. Today I received a refurbished iPhone 5, however my SIM card is nowhere to be found. My mom says she didn't take it out of my phone before she sent it. Is there any way I could get it back?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.2

You carrier is interested in keeping you as a customer, so they should be willing to replace the SIM. Ask them for one and they will tell you how you can receive it.
