Can I edit the dropdown lists in the phone field?

I don't need many of the things listed in the Phone field label Dropdown, and i would like to add a few of my own... Can I?

ie: I would delete telex, radio, ISDN callback, TDD/TTY...

I would add the Carrier name for instance, as I have special calling rates with special Carriers...

BTW, there is no community option for neither Mac OS X v10.8 (Mountain Lion I think) nor v10.9 - chose the highest available... although I'm on 10.9 now.
