Aperture 3.5.1 - If I select the skin smoothing brush I get the clone tool. All brush selections bring up the wrong adjustment tool.

All brush selections bring up the wrong tool.

I have a macbook pro running OSX 10.9.1

How can I fix this?

Try trashing your prefs. If that doesn't work, delete and reinstall Aperture.
