Q: Why does my cellular data plan for new ipad air display unknown

I cannot find the cellular number associated with my iPad air settings... It shows UNKNOWN. My other iPads have displayed the number in the settings/general/about/cellular data number area.... This one shows UNKNOWN even though the 3G for $30 has been activated.

iPad Air Wi-Fi, Cellular, iOS 7.0.4

You iPad is not a phone and therefore doesn't have a cellular number. The SIM is for data connectivity only. No voice or text service.

It does have a "Cell Number" on the SIM card, but with a Data Only setting. IIRC the SIM card will also store an address book and last enter SMS.
