My iPhone 5S camera won't work. It's just a black screen. Snapchat won't work, Instagram says "Error launching the camera. Please try again." when i try to upload a photo. It stopped working out of nowhere. I've had iOS 7.0.3 for awhile and it just did this yesterday. I restored my iphone and updated to iOS 7.0.4 tonight and it still doesn't work. What should I do?

It sounds like the camera stopped working for you all of a sudden, and updating to iOS 7.0.4 did not get it working normally again. I have a couple things to recommend to you. First close all the open apps on the phone.
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and try again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

I would next, if the issue persists see if this info helps:
- Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
- Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.

I have the exact same problem, and have tried all of the above. I have also tried resetting the phone by holding the home button and the power button. That did not work, so I tried resetting the phone to factory defaults, and that didn't work either. This just happened to me a couple of days ago. I had iOS 8.3 and have updated to 8.4 since then and this did not resolve the issue.
FIXED, I READ ON HERE AND TRIED IT. WORKED AWESOME. WENT TO APP STORE GOT CAMERA AWESOME. FREE. THAT CAMERA APP WORKS PERFECT AND MY ORGINAL ONE WORKS NOW TOO. IT REALLY DOES. I BELIEVE SINCE EVERYONE IS HAVING SAME PROBLEM OUT OF THE BLUE. THAT APPLE IS FORCING US TO GET NEW PHONE OR DO DOWNLOAD. BUT THATS JUST ME. IVE HAD MY PHONE FOR YEAR AND A HALF. NEVER A PROBLEM TILL LAST WEEK WHEN EVERYONE ELSES STARTED. HMMMM, WEIRD
