Garage band loops work together but when i import a new loop how do i get it in time with the garage band loops?

How do i import a new loop and make it work with garage band loops? When i download a new loop it is out of time with garage band loops. I don't understand why this is not explained in the garage band help section, i'm bored of all the garage band loops. Thanks.
