My 2007 iMac is making beeping noises and it's just a grey screen. Nothing is happening. I've tried to restart and unplugged it and still does it. Does anyone know what is wrong and can I fix it myself? Thanks

Beeps on startup:
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images.
5 beeps = processor is not usable
You can try to re-seat the RAM, pull it out and then push it firmly back in. https://support.apple.com/kb/HT1423
It just 1 beep every 5 secs So does that mean I need new ram? If so is, can I just replace the ram chips underneath the computer to fix that problem?
It could have just worked loose! If it has failed check the warranty. Crucial and OWC/MacSales offer a lifetime warranty on RAM.
