MacBook Air 13" running 10.7.5 When I click to download Mavericks in the App Store, nothing happens. What could be the solution?
MacBook Air (13-inch Late 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.5)
Launch App store. Click the "Purchases" tab at the top.
Does a progress bar appear?
There may be no progress bar apparent for Mavericks in the App Store. It may be a bug associated with this particular download.
To determine if it is actually downloading use Launchpad. You should see a fairly obvious new icon with an associated progress bar. Make sure you check every Launchpad page by swiping left / right.
If it's paused, click the icon to restart it.
Once it completes the icon will appear in Applications and Launchpad, it's just easier to find in Launchpad.

I open App Store, click purchases and see Mavericks sitting there with the "download" button beside it.
I click the download button and ..... nothing. The button depresses, pops back up and everything is the same.
Nothing in LaunchPad indicating anything about a download of any kind. Puzzling.
