Hi, where does a downloaded image go on my iPad. I can't find it?

I clicked download from a museum picture library and checked the camera roll and could see it so I screen grabbed it and that worked

It should be in Photos - Camera Roll.

Downloaded how?

If you saved the image it should appear in the Cameral Roll in the Photos App.
