Change color of text boxes in Quark

Hi to you all!!
I have a text block in Quark, in which I have added smaller text boxes with color fill 0.40.100.25 (in CMYK)
Does anyone know how I can change that color to 0.90.90.30 using AppleScript??
There are several boxes with the same color and I want to change them all together, if it's possible...

Try using:

tell application "Quark"
set CMYK color value of color spec of text box 1 to {0, 90, 90, 30}
end tell

or modify the script available by searching this page for CMYK to meet your needs.

Niel,
There is an error there...
QuarkXPress 4.1 got an error: Can't set CMYK color value of color spec of text box 1 to {0, 90, 90, 30}

Any suggestions?

Try finding out how Quark refers to the different text boxes; the information on this page may help.

Hi again

Try this to start with. I'm not sure if this works with Quark 4, but I have tested it with Quark 3. As long as the colour is named (which I suspect it will be):

tell application "QuarkXpress™" -- you may need to change the trade mark sign or otherwise identify Quark 4
set color of text box 1 of document 1 to "Muddy Brown"
end tell

If you have many text boxes, you can use this:

tell application "QuarkXpress™" to tell document 1 to set color of every text box where its color is "Cyan" to "Light Mauve"

(Again, you may need to change the name of the application.)

The CMYK colour values of the colour spec are returned thus: «data cCMY000000000ffff0000». It would take someone far cleverer than me to tell you how to define a CMYK colour from that.

Hi HD!

Problem solved!! I tried that script with0 "picture boxes" and its working too...
It's like this:

tell application "QuarkXPress PassportΣ 4.1" to tell document 1 to set color of every picture box where its color is "blue" to "red"

How can I have text boxes and picture boxes in the same script so that I don't have to use 2 separate scripts??

Is it like this?

tell application "QuarkXPress PassportΣ 4.1" to tell document 1 to set color of every picture box where its color is "red" to "blue"
tell application "QuarkXPress PassportΣ 4.1" to tell document 1 to set color of every text box where its color is "red" to "blue"

Looks good to me! Why not try it? I can't, I'm away from Quark at the moment.

But this is tidier, and should have the same effect:

tell application "QuarkXPress PassportΣ 4.1"
tell document 1
set color of every picture box where its color is "red" to "blue"
set color of every text box where its color is "red" to "blue"
end tell
end tell

Could you tell me please how I can change the color of the text from "White" to "Blue"??
Its not all of the text white.
It has some text blue and some text black and I dont want to change those colors. I want to change only the whites.
