Q: how do i get the standard deffinitin version of a movie if i purchased the high def version? Do I have to repurchase the same movie?

I have an ipod classic that Im wanting to use as a mobile video source but many of my movies are in hd format. do I have to buy them again in sd format or can i download them again in that format?
