Strange space between sentences converting to word
After converting to word random sentences have space between them. Any solution for that?

You have to explain yourself better with examples, telling us what version of Pages, and how you are converting the files and whether you are going via iCloud or other intermediary delivery method.
A screen snap (command shift 4 and drag over the sample) to illustrate the problem would be good.
Menu > View > Show Invisibles will let us know what you have at that point of your text as well.
Peter
You are photographing this with your camera
That is not a screen shot. I explained how to do one above, and you have not turned on invisibles so we can actually see how the line ends and anything else in the paragraph that is affecting the layout.
A line can vary height because there is something in the line that is a different height eg a graphic or a larger character. That can be fixed by making the line spacing Exact.
It is aslo possible that you have a paragraph return at those points and there is a Space Before/After set in the styling.

I do not run word on my mac. Therefore I only have a paper printed version which shows all the strange spaces. I don't have any strange spaces inside Pages, so you won't find anything there... The line spacing is also exact by the way..
You seem to be doing a lot of strange things.
You said the problem is in Word but you do not have it on your Mac. Where is the Word?
You are making me ask the same questions over and over again.
What are you doing? Transferring this to a PC just to print it? Why?
Peter
Doing very normal stuff. Listen carefully:
Doing research.
I like to write in Pages.
Document done.
Want to send it to collegues.
Everyone uses word in the real world.
Exporting to word. (docx)
Send it out to collegues.
Mails coming back, your document has strange spaces and characters.
Checking pages.
Nothing there. (visually or with show invisbles)
Someone gave me a printed copy with feedback.
Strange spaces and characters.
More clear? I appreciate your help by the way!
I can only listen carefully to what you tell me.
Questions you have not answered:
1. Screen snap showing text with invisibles.
2. Why you are using spellchecking to add accented characters?
3. Are you using a Dutch keyboard and why are you not typing the accented characters?
4. What do you see when you open the .docx in TextEdit?
and an additional now that I know a little more:
5. What happens when you print your document from either Pages or TextEdit?

Can you find out what version of Word for Windows they are using to open your documents?
Do you still have the font substitution problem? Have the Windows users seeing the problem checked whether they have up to date TNR fonts? Have you tried using another font, like Arial or Helvetica to see if the same character problem exists? I can't duplicate it on my machine with Word for Mac.

Nobody but us ancient relics uses their head for spelling, with or without accents, any more, Peter. Much easier to just let the machine put in the right characters and whatever goes on top of them:-)
The Dutch keyboard is the same as the US keyboard.

What is the line spacing setting in the Word for Windows app reading the doc?
I have used another font now but am not able to test this. I will check this next time I mail the documents out.
For Human Mind's benefit Tom.
Then type the dead letter and the vowel:
eg umlat is option u then the vowel = äëïöü
option i then the vowel = âêîôû
option e then the vowel i = áéíóú
option ` (above the tab key) then the vowel = àèìòù
option n then the letter = ñãõ
They are characters usually associated with the accent and have been standard on the Mac for decades.
Peter
Have you tested this by opening the .docx in TextEdit and/or printing to pdf?
You can always send pdfs to your friends.

Such a lot of trouble, Peter. If users already rely on the machine to capitalize things, why should they not let it do the accents too? The shift and option keys could perhaps be replaced by something more useful :-)
Tom
It becomes a useful habit and I find that constantly misspelling and hoping the computer will pick up your mistakes only leads to more mistakes.
As I understand it, Apple's foreign language dictionaries are woeful.
Heavan knows they are not that good in English.
