My sister has an iPad 2 and she recently updated it to iOS 7. Since then we could not transfer any files onto it. I tried dropping ebooks, or movies through iTunes but it just would not work. I get the stop sign whenever I tried to drag and drop. We do not have auto sync on either.
Any ideas. I have tried googling but can't find a solution.

Was going to use that as a last resort, but was hoping I can fix this issue and there's a direct way for me to transfer files onto the iPad again

Where are the books and movies now? Can they be accessed from the store under purchased?
Are you using a computer the iPad has synced to in the past?
Is the computer running current iTunes (version 11)?
Are you able to use wifi at home? Does the iPad show in the column viewer in iTunes?
Has she signed in to her iCloud and iTunes account on the iPad?
