ISP,INTERNET,SERVER failed on macbook air 2013 13'

hi,i have problem connecting to wi fi with new macbook air 2013 13' 2 days old, network bars showing that im connected all the time, but i cant surf the web, deley btw having and not having connection is about 20-30minutes sometimes is 10 minutes,i tried to reset router several times and its the same,my internet and cable provider is sending 2.4ghz internet, the model of router is

huawei HG532E and i have cable and internet with two devices, router and cable box they are connected each other its a adsl connection.

macbook air comes with mountaine lion 10.8.4 installed i updated to 10.8.5 but i have same problems with both versions of software.

so i run diagnostics and im almost always have first 3 icons green and always (when there is no connection) i have other 3 icons red and failed

ISP

INTERNET

SERVER

and asistent tells me that i need to check my router and access points, all other devices in my home works normaly with the same router.

i know that new macbook air 2103 comes with new 802.11ac Wi-Fi and as far as i know its a 5ghz i read someone have same problem with the same macbook air but different router, and he is assuming that new wi fi AC is not backward compatibile with the older or regular routers,i dont know if this is true but can someone try to help me to solve this problem, maybe i need to change settings in mac?

Hi!

have you updated your MacBook Air?

 > System update

What protocol of WiFi is your router broadcasting in 802.11 b/g/n ?

you will find how to check this in the manual:

http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/downloadCenter.do?method=toDownloadFile&fl ay=document&softid=NDY2NzM=

Does the other devices on network work proppely when your Macbook Air have issues?

Have you tryed to powercycle the Modem and Router, not only the WiFi router? (pull out the power core for 30sec from devices not wall socets)

sounds like the problem is not your WiFI router or your MacBook Air but the connection betwin Modem and router, a powercycle of modem and router will hopefully help i hope.

hi, macbook air is fully updated but not to maverics, after reading people experiance after updating from lion to maverics no way i will update to mavrics any time soon. i would like to stay with 10.8.5

huawei router is working in this modes 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n (2.4 GHz)

all other devices are fully working with the same router while macbook air wont (at failed state)

powercycle modem and router? you mean to pull the cords from router and cable box at the same time?

not sure what you mean by modem? i have huawei router and cable box thats it

probely the box that your router is connected to.

the question with your router was do you broadcast wifi on B, G or N or all mixed?

you will find it in the advance menue on your wifi router

192.168.1.1 and log in as admin.

okei try to hold the "alt/option" button down and press on WiFi icon on the upper menue and see PHY-Modus if it is 802.11g,b,n ?

you can try to dissconnect all your devices from network and reconnect, see if it cud be a IP conflict ( two or more devices uses same IP on LAN)

If not that is the issue, then im out of ideas for now :S

in the manual i linked up on resent post you can see how to acces the router.

it says

Step 1

Launch a browser on your computer. Enter http://192.168.1.1in the address box, and press Enter.

Step 2

On the login page, enter your user name and password.

  • By default, both the user name and password are user.
  • For security reasons or to make the user name and password easy to remember, you can change them. For details, see section 4.1 "Changing the User Name and Password for the Web-Based Configuration Utility".

Step 3

Click Login.

After verification, the web-based configuration utility is displayed.

The first time you log in to the web-based configuration utility, a configuration wizard is displayed. To skip the wizard and further configure your HG532e, click Here when the following message displays: Click Here to enter the advanced configuration page.

and go to advanced configuration page and se WiFi settings, check transfer mode/protocol 802.11 if it is on b/g b/g/n

you can try to set it to 802.11g only and change channel to 11 or 9

Yes you need to do that on your mac when your connected to the network, then you will get an Advance view option over WiFi.

hi,problems again,i think problem is not with router, this morning i lost wi fi again 2-3mins but after i did turn on\of wi fi connection was back normally, but 10hours later i lost wi fi on 15 minutes i right away check if i can connect to wi fi with my cell phone and cellphone was connect in a sec! first wi fi option on mac was off! i didn't touch anything to shutdown wi fi its shutdown by computer, then i check dhcp and ip4 and ip6 under preferences it was all empty, then after several times of toggling on\of i was able to scan networks but no networks are showing at all, then after scanning again i was able to see networks but i could not connect to my wi fi (message could not join network time is out something like that) and then i try to click again on the wi fi icon on the top of the bar where is battery, time etc and i got right away spinning mixed colour ball not just on the wi fi icon, whole line where is apple logo, icons clock etc could not change anything then after restarting osx I'm able to connect the wi fi uf what wrong with air?
