Q: Cannot Open Pages Doc after upgrade

I upgraded to pages 5 on 11/25/13.  I created a pages document on my mac, saved the doc and now the message I get is that I need a newer version of pages to open the document.  Suggestions?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2009), iOS 7.0.4

    When you upgraded Pages, the old Pages version was kept. In this case, you are opening the old Pages version by mistake.

     

    To fix this, open a Finder window, choose Applications in the sidebar and drag the new Pages version to the Dock, so you can access to it quickly. Then, every time you want to open a document, first open Pages by pressing its Dock icon.

     

    Another option would be to remove the old Pages version, but I do not recommend you to do that. Most users have complained about the lack of features of the new Pages version. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6049?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
