How do I unlock my iphone 5c?

Ok so I updated to ios7, turned off my phone, and it put my phone into recovery mode because I interrupted the updating proccess. I reset my phone just like the apple technician told me to do, but now it is locked. It asks for my Apple ID and password. I do not remember either! I remember my old Apple ID and Password which is connected to my phone as well, but it is not letting me enter the old one. It asks for the new one. How can I unlock my phone?

iPhone 5c, iOS 7.0.4

If you cannot remember you ID and password, you cannot get into your phone. That is the activation lock in iOS 7.

How does one forget their apple id and password? Just doesn't make since on a new 5C..

Very true, sounds more someone found or stoled a phone and then restored it and is stuck at the icloud activation.

No it is not stolen!! It was upgrading to the new 7.0.4 and yes i am stuck at the icloud activation! I have my receipt serial number and all that from when I got it, so hopefully the Apple store can help me out.

Apple cannot help you. If you are stuck on the activation screen, you need to enter your Apple ID and password. Without that, you cannot go any further. Without it the phone is useless. This is Apple's anti-theft program. I will be very surprised, even with a receipt that they will help you. But, good luck anyway.
