New Macbook Pro bought December 2013. Transferred everything from Timemachine backup from Macbook Air with 10.6.8. Failed to transfer "network settings". PROBLEM: neither account can log in. It shakes and refuses (the correct) password. Help!

Failed to transfer "network settings".
PROBLEM: the two accounts from the Macbook Air cannot log in. It shakes and refuses (the correct) password.
Cannot redo the setup.
Stuck! (With a dead as a doorknob $3000 machine.)
