Dec 20, 2013 12:33 PM in response to hunttvillageby photosb189,If I am not mistaken, I think photos are stored for 30 days in iCloud, so if older images have not been saved to camera roll or your iphoto library, there is a potential for some loss. However, you do also have the option of importing the images into your library or camera roll before disconnecting (if they are already there, there may be duplication).

Dec 20, 2013 1:25 PM in response to LarryHNby hunttvillage,None of this addresses my issue. Here's what's been happening:
My husband and I have iPhone 4S's running 7.0.4 and we share a cloud Apple ID, though we each use different Apple ID's for purchases, etc.
We never had a problem sharing photos with the stream before the updates, but for the past month or so, our photostream is very sporadic, often going days without syncing. We both have the photostream turned on, photostream is activated on our computer, there just seems to be no particular reason for it to be so random. I have tried turning off the stream and restarting it (a it added some photos back into the photostream and then later removed a bunch???) We are all on the same wifi at home, so that shouldn't be a problem, either.
It seems like it is being given conflicting instructions and only completing some of them. Does that make sense?
Could there be some problem with the 2 phones using the same stream?
