mini diplayport run two dvi

Can the miniDP run an extended desktop to two DVI monitors using a mimiDP to DVI adapter & DVI passive splitter?

I already have my HDML going to a AV receiver, which is a duplicate desktop.

I would really like to send one spaces' decktop to the HDMI and another desktop to the miniDP, at the same time, but my guess is this would be asking too much?
