Hello, I just installed 10.9 mavericks on my mac, and I downloaded Final Cut Pro (newest version). When I open it, it says disk image not recognized. When I open up another .dmg file it is able to open. Any help here? The file is Finalcutprotrial10.1.dmg. I'd really appreciate some answers! Thanks!

From where exactly did you download the newest version?
The apple website, I got the 30 day trial. I had 10.8 for my mac before, but I downloaded FCP and it said I needed 10.9. So I realized I needed to update for numerous other things, so I updated to 10.9. I then went to apple.com and got the free trial. After it finished downloading, it said it didn't recognize the disk image. Should I try redownloading? Thanks!
It probably was a bad download, but it may be something else. I'd try an Apple store.
I have never had the App Store donload a .dmg file to me. Where did you get that disk image file? Hmmmm.
From the Apple web site. You can download the trial from there directly.
Thanks yes, I'm guessing it was a bad download. I've re-downloaded it and I am able to open and install the file.
