O, W, X, C) for school. Is Time Machine/AirPort Time Capule only used via exteral hardrive or Ethernet cable?

First of all, have you got an AirPort Time Capsule? If so, make sure it is turned on
Oh, I thought it was Wifi based, I thought it was an alternative to having the external hardrive for Time Machine. Maybe I'll just wait until I get one.
