internal speaker issue

I have Macbook Pro with 2 operating systems installed on it, the first is Mac OS X 10.7.5, the internal speaker does not work but when i switch to the second operating system, using bootcamp, which is Windows 7 the internal speaker works perfectly which means its a software issue, can anyone help?
