To Buy or Wait???

Does anyone have a sense of when a new version of the MacBook Pro will be released. Perhaps with a new Intel core?

I'm in a position where I'm going to buy a MacBook Pro but could easily wait a month or two if something new is coming out soon.

Comments?

Hi David,
The new generation of Intel chip is Core 2 Duo... It is more effective and less power consuming (well, as Intel advertised). According to my personal observation, new cool stuffs has often been released from Apple store sort after they doing some sort of Conference, Presentation...and the next conference in this year will be in August. So, if you have time, you could wait for a while and see, what they will have to increase their volume and revenue. And of couse, make us happier than ever.

While I could go on and on about everything I've read about the Core 2 Duo and it's release, I'll shut up for once and say wait for WWDC in August. If Apple says anything, that'll be the place.

Wise choice, if only to allow Apple to work out the problems that are already out there. I took the risk and paid the price (nobody to blame but myself, as I knew better). Give them some time to figure out the problems and save you from the pains that some of us have experienced. In time, they will fix the problems.
