I cannot find my iphone in devices in itunes?

I cannot find my iphone in devices in itunes, I rang the carrier and they said it would take 72 hours for Apple to have it ready.

It is over 72 hours maybe it 82 hours now, should I still be waiting or should I ring Apple to see what is going on?
