i have a Buffalo MiniStation HD-PCFU3 used as a TM backup disk

i have a Buffalo MiniStation HD-PCFU3 used as a TM backup disk & is encrypted. it got full during the last backup & i received an alert that it will deleted the oldest one. after the delete, i'm not able to mount the drive anymore. osx 10.9.1. is there a way to recover my files from hard disk?

You don't have many options here..


Try the drive on another computer.. You clearly have to get the disk to mount for it to be checked.

If you can get it to mount, then run a repair via disk utility.. if that doesn't fix it or you cannot mount it then there is no way to get around that to fix it. Using encrypted backup means even a data recovery centre can do nothing.. the end result will be garbage.
