can't connect wireless to internt

I have a 2003 powerbook g4 12" AL. with panther mac OS X 10.3.9, with airport extream, a u-verse 3600hgv router. it has other wireless connections but I have to use ans ethernet cable to connect, I'm not a mac user, I got this from my daughter so I know I'm not configering it right, anybody know how to do this?

I'd like to get it to work so my grandson will have a laptop he can use.

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.3.x), works great, in good shape

You know doubt know the name of your network, Go up to the upper right menu and you will see an ICON that looks like this.User uploaded fileUser uploaded file

Single click on it and all the networks that you are in range of will appear. Select your network and you should be good to go.
