Q: If I won't put in the new sim until I go to India. Do I need to still backup and restore first?

So I had Sprint unlock my iPhone for when I go to India. Can I wait and just put in the new Indian SIM when I get there or do I have to do the restore process first?

A:

YOu would need to do the restore process first in itunes, then you'll get a message saying congrats your phone is unlocked.
