Why does my battery refuse to charge?

Hey,

I have a mid 2010 macbook pro (6,2) that does not seem to charge. The battery was not heavily used as it only has 171 cycles (90% health) on it and it seems a little pre mature to be doing things like this. I have tried resetting my PRAM and SMC, tried other power adapters, and pulling out the battery but nothing seems to work. As my luck would have it, I started having problems almost immediately after the extended warranty was up (go figure) so I would like to avoid getting it repaired.

Heres a little info it:

Firmware Version: 201

Hardware Revision: 000a

Cell Revision: 158

Charge Information:

Charge Remaining (mAh): 0

Fully Charged: No

Charging: No

Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 6237

Health Information:

Cycle Count: 171

Condition: Replace Now

Battery Installed: Yes

Amperage (mA): 0

Voltage (mV): 4099

It was lightly used over the 3 years but nothing out of the ordinary ever happened to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
