Music disappeared after a failed sync.

After transferring music, my music on ipod just disappeared. From 1000, it became 300. The memory in music shrinks and the other became huge. How can I restore my Music list? I dont have a copy of them from my pc. just on my Ipod.

iPod touch, iOS 7.0.4

Try this.

However, since the "other" got large I suspect that the songs got corrupted and are unrecoverable.

Also try:

"First you go settings/general/usage/music/then left swipe over music and press delete and you would think it deletes your music but it doesn't instead it deletes your other but make sure your ipod is connected to a computer while doing this"

Next, usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.
