I have an iPad 2 and require the iOS update however I do not have a message in my general settings to do so and I'm not sure why considering I purchased my iPad in 2011 it's definitely due for an update, what do I do?

Connect to iTune and Check for Updates (tap to enlarge image)
Go into your iPad settings, general, about,
Find the version ( number ?)
Find the model number. ( xxxxxx ?)
Find your iPad model number from this link...
Thanx no such luck no where in my general settings does it say update/upgrade and I have never done that on this so it should def be there
Did you connect your iPad to the computer?
Again....
Please look up the version and model number. If you have IOS 4 you would NOT get an update notice in settings...
