Q: Air play will not connect to Apple TV from i phone or ipad after update. icon is there but it will not connect

I have updated all of my devices and the air play will not mirror through the Apple TV now. The icon is there. The remote ap can connect to navigate the Apple TV through the ipad. I tunes sharing works, but I can not get air play to work?

I've not updated anything recently, but firstly I would restart all - AppleTV, router and iPhone/iPad
