Q: I am trying to move a chapter up further in my book.  Instructions say drag chapter from the pane.  Tried and tried. It doesn't work.  Any solutions other than deleting the chapter and starting over?

If... you are using iBooks Author..... on the left you see the books "tree" - a list of chapters.

To move a chapter UP the tree..... place your cursor over the chapter to move...left click and drag it upwards and under the chapter to want it to be, i.e.   chapters 1,2 and  3. now drag chp 3 above chp 2 till you see a blue line appear... then drop it.  chp 3 now is auto  re numbered to be chp 2 and chp 2 become chp 3.

Reverse the process to move a chapter down your list.

    Perhaps this  will help more!
