I am not sure why there are no posted anwers to this prevalent question! I have the same issue since I upgraded to iTunes 11.1.3. The music that I purchased from the Apple Store does not synchronize to my iPhone. I see a grayed circle next to the songs that did not synchronize from my MacBook Pro to my iPhone.

Hopefully, Apple's Technical Support Team will POST a solution to this prevalent issue!!! Thanks.

There seems to be a lot of issues with the newest iOS update/itunes update. I also have been having weird syncing issues between my Mac/iPad/iPhone. My purchases playlist is different on each device, and is not updating properly at all for new purchases.

I also have the grey dot on a recently purchased song in itunes...it also says it is still downloading that item but it says processing 100%. The song does play and did download on my iPad/iPhone so not really sure why it still has the grey dot and says that it is downloading but if I go to check if there are downloads it says I have none.

I went in to an Apple store to see why the purchased playlist was not syncing properly and they just said it looked like it was the operating system. So I could either wait for an update or restore my iphone and ipad.

Apologies for rambling, but it doesn't seem like there are too many discussions on this annoying issue.
