Dec 21, 2013 6:56 PM in response to gandravenkateshby ChrisJ4203,Where is the phone "showing Vodafone in only". What did Vodafone or the other carrier say when you contacted them? Are you able to use the phone with the other carrier's SIM card?

Dec 21, 2013 7:34 PM in response to gandravenkateshby ChrisJ4203,Who did you port the number to? Is this port to a carrier different than Vodafone? Is it possible it is an MVNO that uses Vodafone's towers? What user troubleshooting have you done. First try powering the phone off, then turn it back on. If that doesn't help, then try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. What does that do?

Dec 21, 2013 7:52 PM in response to gandravenkateshby ChrisJ4203,If you go to Settings>General>About>Carrier, what does it say there? Sounds almost like it is a carrier file problem. If you put the Airtel SIM into the phone and try the restore, what happens?

Dec 22, 2013 1:11 PM in response to gandravenkateshby ChrisJ4203,You need to sort this out with the carriers. If your carrier is showing Vodafone in the Settings area with an Airtel SIM, then it appears you are not getting a changed carrier file from Airtel. That, or like I asked earlier, Airtel is an MVNO that is piggybacking off Vodafone. I wouldn't know the answer to that, maybe someone else from the UK would be aware of this.

Dec 22, 2013 9:52 PM in response to gandravenkateshby ChrisJ4203,And when you insert it into the other Apple device, what is it showing in Settings>General>About>Carrier? Does it still show Vodafone like your device did? However, you are free to make an appointment at the Genius Bar at Apple to have the device checked to see if there is a hardware problem.

Dec 22, 2013 9:59 PM in response to gandravenkateshby ChrisJ4203,Call your local Apple store. Not sure how the phone system works in the UK, but here in the US there is a menu system that allows you to make an appointment. Or, you can go online to www.apple.com/retail, or you can use the Apple Store app and make an appointment there after selecting the particular store.
