Q: MacBook Pro (mid-2009) keeps crashing

Hi everyone,

My MacBook Pro has renctly started crashing. Tonight it has already crashed 6 times! I installed Maverick to see if that would fix it and repaired disc permissions but so far nothing has worked. I'm copying my crash log below. Does anyone have any advice or see anything that is wrong?

Thanks!!

The recurring kernel panic is most likely due to the one of these driver's software. Third party kernel extensions are the most common cause of recurring kernel panics. Begin by uninstalling the Wondershare software according to the developers instructions. If the panic persists, uninstall Sophos. Move down the list...

I should note that i would uninstall Sophos and Symantec anyway, as they are unneccessary and redundant in function.

Thank you for helping me, nbar! I uninstalled the programs you suggested but I'm still crashing! It seems to happen most when I'm watching any sort of video content. Here's the latest crash report. Any advice???

The aftermarket memory that's installed doesn't meet the specifications for your model (1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM.) Reinstall the original memory, or install new memory of the right type.

I suggest you go to the manufacturer's website and see whether there's a form you can fill out to find the right part for your model. There probably is. You can then buy it from Amazon if you wish.
