iTunes not accepting movie uploads that have previously been accepted

I need to re-add into my iTunes library 4 movies I accidentally deleted. I have the original files, but iTunes won't accept them back in. I've tried to do this from my hard disk and from a USB. (they aren't in home movies) It doesn't make sense - as they were in iTunes just this morning - but now iTunes won't accept them back. (Working off Windows PC)
