Dec 22, 2013 5:48 AM in response to lanabcby King_Penguin,If you are in a country where music can be redownloaded then it should show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes for redownloading.

Dec 22, 2013 5:57 AM in response to King_Penguinby lanabc,I'm not sure if I am. I live in Switzerland... Is that one of the countries? I followed your steps, and it won't show up with the song. Or ANY songs, for that matter. It just shows "1 item" when I click the artist, but not what item it is - there's just a blank space, even after I have clicked Songs and All (instead of Not in my library, because that is just blank too!). Any suggestions?

Dec 22, 2013 6:04 AM in response to lanabcby King_Penguin,You should be able to redownload music in Switzerland (as long as it is still in your store). You haven't changed countries since buying the song, and it was bought on that account ? Try logging out of your account via the Store > Sign Out menu option and then sign back in (the Sign Out should change to Sign In) and see if it then shows.
You could also check to see if it's hidden from the Purchased link : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919

Dec 22, 2013 6:36 AM in response to King_Penguinby lanabc,It is still the same account that I bought it on, but I have since changed the email associated with it... Changing that hasn't affected anything else but this song? And I've tried the 'hidden purchase' thing you mentioned, and I have no hidden purchases. Hmm... all of this is a bit weird!

Dec 22, 2013 6:52 AM in response to lanabcby King_Penguin,Do you have an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) so that you can check in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on that to see if it shows - it should show the same as on your computer's iTunes but it may be worth trying.
And your computer's iTunes is up-to-date ?
Changing the primary email address on an account shouldn't make any difference - you said that it shows as 'Purchased' in the store, so it's recognising that it's the same account. You could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they know why it isn't showing : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

Mar 16, 2014 8:39 AM in response to lanabcby Amiram.l,I'm having the same problem. I have accepted the offer to update the version on my Mac, so this might be the reason in my case. I have my purchased songs on my Ipad and Iphone 5s but not on my Mac.

Mar 16, 2014 8:47 AM in response to Amiram.lby King_Penguin,Have you copied them over from your iPad or iPhone (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases) ? Or do they show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes for redownloading ?

Mar 16, 2014 11:06 AM in response to King_Penguinby Amiram.l,King_Penguin, thanks!
Excuse my ignorance: I couldn't find File> Devices...
In the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on my Mac I find the message: "You do not have any purchased music to download"

Mar 16, 2014 11:15 AM in response to Amiram.lby King_Penguin,The File > Devices > Transfer Purchases is a menu option on your computer's iTunes - with a device connected it should be enabled :
You are signed into the same account on your Mac's iTunes as you are purchased the songs with on your iPad or iPhone ? And you haven't changed countries since buying them ?

Mar 16, 2014 1:25 PM in response to King_Penguinby Amiram.l,Thanks!
Now I understand what you meant by Devices> Transfer purchases... However the few alternatives which "open" following the Device are all "lit" which means are not operative.
The songs I have have were all purchased from the same itune account. (They were synced with my iPhone 5s I purchased recently) however when I acquired the Mac, I wrore in Setting > General > language and region: Israel, US English, while my iTune has a US address... I changed now the Region to US but it didn't solve the problem (BTW when I acquired the Mac, last week in Apple store in Washington DC, I have asked the Apple guy if it matters and he said "no,you can always change it...")
King_Penguin, do you have an idea, please?
-
Mar 16, 2014 2:49 PM in response to Amiram.lby King_Penguin,By 'lit' do you mean that they are greyed out, not in bold type ? That is the computer that you normally sync the phone to ?
The region setting on a device or computer doesn't matter, it's the country that was on the iTunes account when the purchases were made that does, and whether it is still set to that country. If that hasn't changed from the US, and the songs are still in the US store, then they should be redownloadable. You could check to see if they are hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 . And/or try logging out of your account on your Mac's iTunes (Store > Sign Out menu option at the top of the screen) and then log back in (it will change to Store > Sign In) and see if that makes any difference.
