I have downloaded a book from iBooks. Can I save it to my windows based laptop, or iTunes library, to keep a copy at all times so I can remove it from my ipad? I have a lot more space on my computer then I do on my ipad.

All content purchased from the iTunes store should be saved to iTunes on a computer for safekeeping.
Simply connect the iDevice and select File > Transfer purchases.
If the content is no longer desired on the device, manage what syncs to the device via iTunes on the computer.

After I read a book from iBooks on my ipad, can I store them on my computer and remove the book from my library on the ipad? Will I lose the book if I remove it from the ipad?
